album of the week: pure x-pleasure

Been a fan of slo-fi rock trio Pure X ever since hearing their 7" cut "Voices", released when they were still going under the name Pure Ecstacy. With this their first full-length release Pleasure, the band hailing from indie music mecca Austin TX, went straight to the top of AOTW's Best Of 2011 list. It's the perfect record for any of the following activities:

- Driving
- Working
- Thinking
- Reading
- Romancing
- Drinking
- well, anything really.

If there's an album out there that can spear the heart quite like the super chill fuzzy rock greatness of Pure X we welcome it with open arms.
