The War On Drugs – Comin’ Through

Our first taste of Kurt Vile’s awesome side project was the uplifting “Arms Like Boulders”, and we’ve since started exploring their 2010 LP Future Weather. This track has a really romantic, kinda bluesy vibe that has a nostalgic Bruce Spingstreen-esque feel to it. We love Philly.

San Francisco’s Ty Segall is the guy. He’s a legend of his craft (specifically, making awesomely punchy garage rock tunes) and played with a heck of a lotta great bands in his time. We’re starting to get psyched about his new record called I Can't feel It due out in June via Drag City. We’ve been listening to “Skin” lately; a ripping 1:34 minute track that doesn’t waste a second.
