Loving the dreamstep beats we got sent from San Francisco's Aeropsia. Can't find much about the them but more fine tunes over on their Soundcloud.

album of the week: Tennis - Cape Dory

[Spunk : 2011]
I've been getting into the jams of Tennis for a while because their sweet classic 50s pop vibe takes me on a weird nostalgic trip down memory lane.
When I was 8 years old I went to my friend Charlotte's house after school and we would watch Grease. I didn't realise until years later that Grease is a pretty adult movie. We used to quote along with Danny, Sandy, Vince Vontaine and the rest of the crew verbatim; stuff like "where you goin Danny, to flog your log?" and "look at me I'm Sandra D, lousy with virginity". We didn't even know what 'virginity' or ‘flog your log’ meant, but the colourful costumes and high school romance and – especially - the big musical numbers were so awesome it didn't matter that we didn’t get half the jokes. The school dance scene I particularly remember because I thought it was so cool that the entire school knew the different dances and moves. The live band that plays in the dance scene is called Johnny Casino & the Gamblers, which is one of the all-time fictional band names. They played great rock n roll classics and sweet swinging pop tunes. Each time I listen to 'Cape Dory' by Tennis - a husband-wife duo from South Carolina, I always think of that scene in Grease and Johnny Casino & the Gamblers. It just draws out those memories of a sweet, innocent time.
